The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) in Cirencester, Gloucestershire will be introducing the myday portal and fully branded mobile app to its 1,200 students as part of its commitment to providing sustainability across all areas of its campus.

“As a university with a focus on agriculture, food production, and the related land-based industries, efficiency, sustainability, and environmental matters are a core element of our teaching, research, and consultancy – and providing a truly digital campus is the next logical step forward for us,” explains Alun Dawes, Head of IT, RAU.

“Working with Collabco’s myday app, we will provide students and staff with the ability to communicate and learn more efficiently from wherever they are and at any time via their chosen device. We’ll also be able to deliver the wider university eco-system in terms of extracurricular activities and services that wrap around student life, and use it in the student recruitment process at open days by giving prospective students access too.”

In 2016, the RAU was awarded The Guardian University Award for sustainability and it’s a mantra that runs throughout its students’ lives: from carbon reduction and recycling initiatives to providing free bike servicing and electric car charging points.

“The Royal Agricultural University is an institution steeped in 172 years of history and tradition, but it’s embracing the digital age and all the efficiencies and opportunities that brings to its student population,” explains Matt Dunkin, Managing Director, Collabco.

“At Collabco we welcome the opportunity to help make a difference to the daily life of RAU students by delivering the digital campus.”
